Sergeant Michael Cassidy was a New Bedford Police Sergeant who served with the department for twenty-seven years until passing from COVID-19 on April 28, 2021. Sergeant Michael Cassidy proudly served in U.S. Marine Corps during Operation Desert Storm. Sergeant Cassidy also proudly rode for the New Bedford Police Union’s Unity Tour Team which raised money and awareness for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
